Therapeutic Indication

Indicated for the prevention and treatment of blood clots, including deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), unstable angina, NSTEMI, and STEMI.

Dosage and Method of Administration

  • Prevention after surgery: 20–40mg once daily SC
  • Prevention in restricted-mobility patients: 40mg once daily SC
  • DVT/PE treatment: 1.5mg/kg once daily or 1mg/kg every 12 hours SC
  • Unstable angina/NSTEMI: 1mg/kg every 12 hours SC
  • STEMI: 30mg IV bolus + 1mg/kg SC, then 1mg/kg every 12 hours

Mode of Administration

  • Subcutaneous (SC) injection; for STEMI, an initial IV bolus may be given as directed by a healthcare professional.
  • Not for intramuscular use.

Therapeutic Indication
