Betamethasone dipropionate is a strong corticosteroid that reduces irritation and inflammation of the skin.
Neomycin is an antibiotic.
Clotrimazole is an antifungal for topical use from the imidazole and triazole derivative group.

Therapeutic Indication

SAVABACT combines a corticosteroid, antibiotic, and antifungal for the treatment of inflammatory dermatomycoses and associated secondary infection.

  • All dermatomycoses due to moulds and other fungi including Trichophyton species
  • All dermatomycoses due to yeasts including Candida species
  • Ringworm (tinea) infections including athlete's foot
  • Paronychia
  • Pityriasis versicolor
  • Erythrasma
  • Intertrigo
  • Skin diseases showing secondary infection with these fungi
  • Candidal nappy rash
  • Vulvitis and balanitis

Dosage and Method of Administration

  • The cream is especially appropriate for moist or weeping surfaces, while the ointment is generally more suitable for dry, lichenified, or scaly lesions, although this is not invariably so.
  • Apply the cream gently to the affected part 2 to 3 times a day, or as prescribed by the physician.
  • Duration of therapy should be determined by the sensitivity of the condition and by the patient's response.
  • In cases of tinea pedis, longer therapy of 2 to 4 weeks may be necessary.
