Therapeutic Indication

REVITHER is indicated for the treatment of uncomplicated malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum in adults, children, and infants weighing 5 kg and above.

Dosage and Method of Administration

Treatment should begin at the time of diagnosis or at the onset of symptoms, preferably after a positive diagnostic test. The first dose should be followed by a second dose after 8 hours. For the following two days, doses should be taken twice daily, morning and evening, 12 hours apart.

Mode of Administration

Oral use. To increase absorption, REVITHER should be taken with food or a milky drink. If food cannot be tolerated, the medicine should still be administered, though systemic exposure may be reduced. If vomiting occurs within 1 hour of dosing, the dose should be repeated. For very young children, tablets may be crushed and mixed with a small amount of semi-solid food or liquid and taken immediately.
